So without further Apu, it’s time to put on our lucky red hat and put ourselves in the world of the ever popular, larger than life Simpsons.
If a sequel were to eventuate, you’d have to imagine it will require some enhanced aesthetics, gameplay details and story. In fact, we recently named it in our 5 Video Games We’d Love To See Remade.ġ8 years have now passed since the game was released (oh my god, I’m getting old). That’s all it was and all it needed to be. You picked up a mission, chased something down, and ran around town collecting coins. Hit & Run was a simplistic, open-world game. By this point, The Simpsons TV show had been running for 13 years (14 if you want to include The Tracey Ullman Show shorts), so the chances of the game being anything other than a smash hit were fairly minimal. The Simpsons: Hit & Run became a cultural classic when it was released on PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox & PC in September 2003. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t dream big! In this article we’ll be outline what WE would do with The Simpsons: Hit & Run sequel. I can’t imagine there’s any huge push from within the companies responsible to do so, either. Straight off the bat, I need to squash any excitement that this is happening.
